When I moved to Canada from Australia in 2011, I chose to work at PwC because of the firm’s international reach and the diversity of its employees. I felt that my background and experience in Australia was valued at a firm with such a diverse workforce. I identify with PwC’s values, including giving back to the community and the importance of work-life flexibility. And, when my work schedule allows, I am able to work from home.
In 2011, I started with PwC in the learning and development team and was given the opportunity to project manage a virtual conference. In 2014, a secondment opportunity came up in campus talent acquisition, where I gained new skills and knowledge before permanently joining the recruiting team.
I enjoy skiing and have skied Whistler, Sun Peaks, Crystal Mountain, Cypress and Seymour.
During the summer months I head to Squamish most weekends to rock climb.
When I am not skiing or climbing, I am baking. Last year, I completed Pastry Training at the Vancouver Pastry Training Centre. I am currently working through the Artisan Bread courses.
My personal brand is having a positive attitude and an insatiable curiosity to learn new skills, meet new people and expand my knowledge base.
