AIM, a market operated by the London Stock Exchange, has emerged as the most successful growth market of its type in the world since launching in 1995. As of December 2006, there were 43 Canadian AIM listed companies (35% of which are PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada audit clients) accounting for approximately 14% of the 306 international companies listed on AIM, second only to Australia.
