At PwC, we believe it’s our responsibility to inspire high performance within each other and all areas within our business. That’s why we’re proud of our Corporate Responsibility (CR) efforts and responding to the needs of our people and stakeholders this past year.
As a part of the evolution of our CR Strategy, we continue to promote responsible business practices that are central to being successful in a changing environment. We aspire to be catalysts for change by using our skills, voices and relationships to contribute to solutions to global challenges. Our efforts focus on four key areas where we believe we can make the most significant contributions: responsible business practices; people, diversity and inclusion; community engagement and environmental stewardship. Our actions around these areas are included in our day-to-day operations.
This year, we increased the proportion of skilled volunteering experiences by 45%. Our people used their skills to benefit not-for-profit organizations and we also saw a 23% increase in the number of our people working on not-for-profit boards. We continue to measure and manage our greenhouse gas emissions and reduced paper consumption by 15%. Our people created value by listening to diverse perspectives and we empowered our teams to take action.
The stories you’ll read as part of our sixth annual CR publication are just a handful of the inspirational examples we hear every day about how our people are collaborating with impact to make a difference. Please also give us your feedback on our progress.
