Corporate Responsibility

At PwC we believe in being part of it: the global conversation and movement towards responsible business practices that create positive change in the world. We’re focusing on four areas where we can make relevant and significant contributions: Responsible business, Diversity & inclusion, Community engagement, and Environmental stewardship.

People

People

Good corporate citizenship is as much about looking after our own people as engaging with the outside world. Our corporate responsibility programmes promote engagement, diversity, respect and development for all PwC CEE people. Although there are unique requirements determined by local cultures in respective countries in the CEE region, there are some common themes – work-life balance, talent retention, or unique expectations of the new joiners. Empowering our employees and providing them with an environment in which they can thrive ensures that our services exceed client expectations.
Community

Community

We are confident that as part of the society we have to assume an active role in resolving issues that arise near us. We believe that it is important to support it with our fundamental activity and the related services, our professional knowledge, and to provide added value for our direct and indirect stakeholders. We feel lucky that as prominent players of the business and economic sphere and as “good corporate citizens” we can contribute to resolving complex issues affecting our environment and its development, in cooperation with other companies, professional and non-profit organizations.During our projects we attempt to create social-economic value to the community mainly through our professional expertise, experience and trainings. As a basic element of the PwC International culture we regularly support our stakeholders with our time, resources and expertise.
Environment

Environment

We’re very keen on promoting environmental protection among our people and on minimizing our carbon footprint. Our ultimate goal is to embed a consistent framework of CR values, policies and commitments related to our relationship with local communities, role in the market, and the environment in which we operate. This feeds directly into the global PwC Experience and ensures we continue to lead the way as a distinctive responsible professional services firm.
Market

Market

Alongside our commitments to the community, workplace and environment, we believe we must play an active and responsible role in the marketplace. We’re interested in sharing our CR agenda with our clients, alumni network and suppliers to cultivate good corporate responsibility among our important stakeholders. At PwC, we hold the potential to demonstrate a profound and valuable example of good corporate citizenship by means of interaction with customers, promoting CR internally and in the business community. We strive to use our experience to focus the attention to the issues which are important for both the business world and society and to help our clients with obtaining integrated information for themselves and their stakeholders as well. Our goal is to provide our advice so that its contents and method does not only meet the highest professional standards, but takes also the ethical and sustainability aspects into account.

Diversity at PwC

Our diversity initiatives and strategies are designed to attract, develop, and advance the most talented individuals regardless of their race, sexual orientation, religion, age, gender, disability status or any other dimension of diversity. Our distinctive approach to diversity is based on a belief that we each have a personal accountability for success in this area. We provide our people with training and tools to help increase their awareness and understanding of differences and why they matter, so their actions can contribute to our inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.

Inclusion

Inclusion

It’s easy to say that our personal lives shouldn’t affect our work. An inclusive work environment where you can be open and honest about who you are enables all of us to perform at our best. PwC is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can succeed in achieving his or her personal and professional goals. An inclusive workplace enables us to embrace the diversity and richness of backgrounds and perspectives of our people, and to leverage their diverse talents to arrive at winning business solutions.
Flexibility

Flexibility

People are most successful when they have the everyday flexibility they need to meet the demands of their professional life and accomplish the things they identify as priorities outside their career. Our goal is to create a flexible work environment where we can respond in the most agile way to the demands of a client service business while providing our employees with control and influence over their own quality of life.

Sports and wellbeing at PwC

PwC is not only duties but also good fun. We also love sport, especially football (or soccer)!

We have local teams all around the region who really enjoy and have fun on their weekly trainings. Moreover we organize an annual PwC CEE Football Tournament which is the most popular regional sport event. Apart from the men’s teams, women’s teams and cheerleader teams compete for the first prize.

In addition, our people run in various international races across the region, sometimes making it a point of running together with colleagues in other countries. We’ve recently become fans of the Global Corporate Challenge as well, which encourages us to walk as much as we can – and win while at it!
