Careers Opportunities: HeadStart: Mentoring



Are you in school and aged between 14 and 18? Then take advantage of PwC’s Mentoring program. You’ll gain a better understanding of how companies work – both in their day-to-day business and within the island community, before embarking on your university education. Our mentoring program also organises lots fun networking events where you can meet PwC professionals in different areas and other students just like you.

As a student on the Mentoring program, you’ll work one-on-one, and in groups with your own appointed PwC mentor, who’ll provide guidance on all the issues you might want to explore when considering your future career. Remember – your mentor has been through it all before; they’ll be able to relate to your questions and identify with the challenges you face. If you’re proactive, curious and open to new ideas, there’s much to gain in return.

Who can be mentored? Anyone!


You don’t have to choose to pursue an accounting career to be eligible for our Mentoring Program. Many students who opt for unrelated studies often decide to switch into finance at a later point. PwC’s associates, managers and partners – who have years of experience advising young people on careers – will help you develop the skills you need to take your next step.

Meanwhile, if you’re studying at boarding school or university in the US or Canada you can still participate in our mentoring program. We’ll offer career guidance to you too - through staying connected, offering online advice and meeting up on your return visits to Bermuda. We try to be flexible in order to make it easier for you to be a part of this program.

If you ultimately decide not to become an accountant, you’ll have gained plenty of transferable skills and knowledge along the way that will stand you in good stead, whatever your future career. So whether you go on to work in the accounting profession, in insurance, in investments or in a local organisation, you’ll have gained an advantage that will be of lasting value.
