The PwC Captive Insurance Group presented their annual GAAP, tax and regulatory update session on Tuesday, December 13 at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel. This is part of the PwC Captive Series of presentations aimed at addressing key industry issues and challenges.
The PwC Asset Management Group held their annual update on Thursday, December 15 at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel. This year's seminar content focussed on key industry issues, developments and trends for hedge funds and private equity funds related to operational due diligence, regulatory expectations, tax risk management, operational and compliance infrastructure, and managing growth.
The 2011 Bermuda (Re)insurance conference took place at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on November 8 & 9. Once again, this popular event featured well-known industry figures discussing the biggest challenges and issues currently facing the (re)insurance industry. Topics included Mergers & Acquisitions, Cycle Management, Reinsurance Value Proposition, Current Global Economics and Impact on the Industry, and Catastrophe Models & Volatility.

The RIMS 2011 Annual Conference & Exhibition took place in Vancouver, Canada from May 1-5. This annual conference gathers risk professionals from around the world to network, share experiences and gain expertise. PwC exhibited at the conference and representatives from our Captive insurance and Tax groups attended.

The 2011 Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) conference took place in Tuscon, Arizona from March 13-15. The conference provides its attendees an unparalleled venue for both networking and to build upon their education and is aimed at professionals involved in the captive risk retention industry. Partners from our Captive insurance, Advisory and Tax groups attended the conference.
The PwC Women's Leadership Group held a networking reception at Lusso on March 10, 2011 in celebration of International Women's Day and to raise funds for the Women's Resource Centre.
The PricewaterhouseCoopers Bermuda (Re)insurance Club provides a unique forum for executives in the insurance industry to meet and discuss the key issues and trends that are driving and shaping the future of the industry, both from an insurance and financial services perspective. With presentations from different industry experts, these events are designed to encourage and facilitate a lively debate.
