Indirect Taxes hold many facets around the subjects of VAT, customs, excise duties and environmental taxes. One year ago we created the PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Indirect Taxes Academy, where we presented the important topics within the domain of Indirect Taxes.

As a part of our ongoing efforts in the framework of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Indirect Taxes Academy, we have the pleasure of announcing you that we will launch our third cycle of general information sessions in September 2009. At this point, we have already planned three new sessions. A first one will relate to the VAT package in the Transport & Logistics sector, during the second one we will explore real estate from various Indirect Tax angles and during the third one, planned at year end, we will host a VAT update session, with a view of course to being ready for 1 January 2010...

We will also launch a second cycle of the specific training sessions as we learned that about 90% of last year participants thought the content of the sessions was very valuable to their job. The first sessions are planned in September 2009 and relate to the recently announced changes to the Belgian VAT reporting obligations.

Finally, we will be organising a generalist VAT and generalist Customs training, both spread over several days. Precise details on these trainings (dates, place, full programme) will soon be made available.
