An exciting place to work

PwC, an attractive employer, a great place to develop.

Our people lie at the heart of PwC.  We invest significant resources in making PwC an exciting place to work. At a global level, student surveys continue to demonstrate that we are the most attractive employer in our profession. Nationally, we recently received a Randstad award for being one of the top-three most-attractive employers in Belgium.  Competition is intense for experienced specialists in many markets and we all realise that the new technologoy-savvy generation has different expectations in terms of career opportunities, work/life balance and rewards. Our local Human Capital programme directly addresses these priorities with tangible human resources initiatives.

"PwC wants to build sustainable relationships with all our stakeholders."

Karel De Baere, Partner and Chairman of the Responsible Leadership Steering Committee

Inspiring people, meeting expectations: coaching and development initiatives are some of the other important elements of our Human Capital programme.  These are there to ensure that our people are able to tailor their career within our firm. We have embedded a culture of coaching and recognition for good work within the firm, with career guidance designed to identify career opportunities throughout our different lines of business. Our internal awareness campaign ‘One House, Many Doors’ focuses on the rich variety of professions and internal job opportunities within both the Belgian firm and the international network, promoting mobility, supporting personal growth and ensuring a varied, fulfilling career.

Attracting talent

Being recognised as a leading employer is a first step in attracting talent. We are pleased  that PwC Belgium has once again been acclaimed as such in the past year – as seen in the prestigious Randstad Award Survey – when PwC was ranked by far highest of the Big Four firms for having the most-exciting jobs (insert link); a major achievement. Vacature, the reference for recruitment media in Belgium, has surveyed the HR community here: PwC was ranked as the best ‘Business School in Finance’ and third-best ‘Business School in Advisory Services’.  On a worldwide basis, we received the Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) award. It is a great reward to us that those with careers at PwC are clearly appreciated for their skills and knowledge.

"At PwC, nobody stops learning. An organisation is only as good as the people who work for it."

Peter Van den Eynde, HR Partner

In our recruitment process we strive for diversity; in the past year we attracted 50% women and 50% men at junior level. In the coming years our focus will be on ensuring that we attract the right people to make PwC their first choice as the “No. 1 firm for talent” from the start of their career and throughout their professional life; with the variety, challenges and opportunities we offer, there is real potential for personal development and growth.

Our code of conduct and our values

Our mission: to create an organisation in which every interaction between clients, staff members and partners consistently demonstrates our PwC Values.

Our values:excellence, teamwork and leadership.  These are expressed in our Code of Conduct, which constitutes the DNA of our firm, helping us achieve that extra dimension of performance that makes our company and employees stand out by being outstanding. From the moment they are recruited and throughout their professional life, our staff are provided with the right tools and training on how to integrate our values into their behaviour. In this way our values are not just something we adopt, but something we live.

“I truly believe that it is only through sustainable relationships with all of our stakeholders that we can successfully address our clients’ issues, enable real improvements in business performance and deliver a distinctive service that sets us apart.”
Roger Heijens,
Chairman PricewaterhouseCoopers Belgium

Through Connected Thinking we collaborate and cooperate across lines of service, departments and across borders. Testimony to the success of this multidisciplinary approach is demonstrated by our projects. The daily work of our PwC people corresponds to the specialised, comprehensive, highly demanding business reality of the clients we serve. We are compliant, and much more than ‘compliance officers’. We advise our clients so they can maintain a sustainable business environment by improving their working practices and developing their reporting platform.
