Women at PwC

Women in a working environment like that at PwC have just as good opportunities as in, say, banking or the public sector. Many wrongly labour under the preconceived notion that this is not so and that women cannot combine a challenging (PwC) career with a family or other personal projects.

PwC set up its Women@PwC work group to counter preconceptions like this and create solutions to purely practical hurdles along women’s career paths. This working group looks at the typical issues that talented young PwC women might encounter at various stages in their career.

The activities of the working group cover research into women in financial careers to setting up practical support facilities and services. Of course, all the facilities and measures put in place by the working group in terms of flexibility, mentoring, career path and career pace, etc. are equally available to our male staff. This policy is aimed at enabling PwC develop into one of the most gender-neutral companies in the country. PwC is working toward this together with Dr. Elke Valgaeren, a scientific specialist from the Equal Opportunities Support Centre.
