Sports & culture
As a young, dynamic organisation, PwC has many sports-minded staff members among its ranks! Sports activities are organised at regular intervals. This encourages informal contacts between employees, because sport is a great way to bring people from various departments together. In addition to the social aspect, staying fit is also a good thing!
Every year, PwCers take part in all sorts of sports activities:
- the ‘Brussels Half-Marathon’ (sponsor money goes to the Vredeseilanden charity)
- football tournaments with teams from PwC Belgium playing other European PwC offices and even PwC worldwide
- Tour of Flanders and Mont Ventoux Climb cycling events
- golf initiation lessons
- ‘Audit & Consulting Cup’ (football and tennis)
- ‘Swim for Malaria’
- ‘PwC International Sailing Regatta’
- ‘Business Trio Triathlon’
- ‘PwC Women’s Golf Trophy’, and many more
All these sports activities are partly subsidised for PwC employees by PwC Belgium. The photos speak for themselves: it’s all about fun – and just as at the Olympics: taking part is more important than winning…

Leisure time
After the hard work is done, it’s great to relax. For that reason, there are also:
- Last Friday Drinks: on the last Friday of the month we have a ‘Happy Hour’ at each office. A great communal round-off to the week and the month. It’s also a chance to call in at another PwC office and raise a glass with your colleagues there.
- Lunchtime barbecues in our lovely gardens when the weather is fine.
- ‘media points’ at which you can maybe view the final stage of the Tour de France or a top match at Roland Garros.
People events
On special occasions, we may organise even more elaborate events. Here are a few that all staff are keen to put in their diaries:
- Knowledge Fair: PwCers present their expertise to other staff members and share their know-how
- Christmas Party for all employees. Every year we have great entertainment, a wonderful dinner and a fantastic party
- Sports & Wellness Day, held every other year in September, alternating with the Family/Leisure Day (when the whole family joins in)
- Jubilee celebrations (after 10 and 25 years of service)
- Bespoke departmental team events
