ČSOB Poisťovňa, a.s.
JUDr. Anastázia Bednáriková
, Head of Legal and HR Department

“Our co-operation with PwC became more intensive after ČSOB Poisťovňa, a.s. joined the PayWell survey. In recent years, we have used the survey results to determine the most optimal wage conditions that are comparable with the market, particularly for new joiners. This positive experience from our previous co-operation convinced us of the qualities and experience of PWC’s staff, both in theoretical and practical terms. This resulted in intensive co-operation in developing a new remuneration system for our company. The PwC consultants handled this task over a relatively short time at high standards and taking into account all the specifics that we required Our aim was to introduce a transparent, competitive and clear wage system, which PwC staff helped us managed to do. We are committed to continuing our co-operation with PWC and benefiting from their qualities and know-how.”

Hewlett-Packard Slovakia, s.r.o.
Karol Wicklein
, Human Resources Manager

“For determining the wage structure, Hewlett-Packard centrally uses a survey conducted by another company. However, this year, we participated in PayWell in Slovakia for the third time. The main reason for the decision to use PwC’s survey locally was because we receive relevant information from a different source and we have the possibility of benchmarking with direct competitors in the labour market. We have used the results of the PayWell survey as an argument where we were unable to get satisfactory information from our corporate survey. Very often, we use information from the PayWell survey on employee benefits, both in implementing new ones or reviewing existing employee benefits.”

ING Bank, N.V.
Andrea Hazuchová
, HR Director

"When we were developing our remuneration system, we asked PricewaterhouseCoopers to assist us with it. The purpose was to review the complexity of job positions using the IFA/JOSS method. The procedures and factors used in this method satisfy our needs and we particularly appreciate the simple software solution that facilitates data storage and updating, as well as coming up with the final matrix of job positions".

ING Bank, N.V.
Andrea Hazuchová
, HR Director

"We have been participating in PayWell project for several years. We most appreciate the opportunity to compare salaries according to the complexity of work – the IFA/JOSS comparison, and according to specific positions. In reviewing employee benefits we offer, we relied on information taken from the report on most preferred employee benefits in the market and on their financial requirements".

ISTROBANKA, a.s.
Klaudius Kosnáč
, Director – HR Section

"In 2003/2004, when Istrobanka was acquired by the Austrian BAWAG P.S.K, we started to implement changes in our HR processes as part of our Change Management. We sought an appropriate methodology and a benchmarking of the Slovak market in order to be able to standardize job positions. It was PwC‘s IFA/JOSS methodology, the development of professional standards for groups of activities within a bank, and their comparison with the market, that helped us implement changes in our HR concept and enable managers to develop their HR and finance management skills".

Slovak Telecom, a.s.
Luboslava Fábryová
, Head of HR Development

“ST has supported the idea of introducing an HR benchmarking project in Slovakia that helps it improve its effectiveness of an HR function. Being part of the international DT Group, we have the opportunity of benchmarking at an international level. However, we appreciate the HR Benchmarking project, as it considers local conditions, market needs and requirements. Each year, we look forward to receiving the survey results. Subsequently, we seek reserves and opportunities for improvements.”

Slovenská sporiteľňa, a.s.
Ing. Iveta Uhrová
, HR Director

“During recent years, Slovenská sporiteľňa has co-operated with PricewaterhouseCoopers on several projects.

Our experience and impressions of the workshop on human resources management was that PwC had a solid technical and theoretical background, and particularly extensive practical knowledge of human resources development and benchmarking, based on best practice. The workshop was guided professionally and was to the point. Participants were very involved, and flexible feedback on their inputs and incentives was provided.

We expect to co-operate with PwC in this area in the future as well.”

UniBanka, a. s.
Mgr. Zdenka Pánisová, MBA
, Head of Human Resources and Salaries, HR Management Section

“We cooperate with PwC in several fields. Our co-operation in the area of HR started in 2004, when UniBanka decided to join PayWell along with 12 other banking institutions in the Slovak market. The quality of outputs, the professional approach of PwC consultants, and the flexibility of responses have always been at a high level. A high percentage of participants from our sector is a guarantee of the quality and validity of the results from the wage surveys”.

Volkswagen Slovakia, a.s.
Ing. Zlatko Uhlík
