Malcolm is a Partner in the Christchurch office.
Malcolm focuses on bringing practical advice to clients beyond the ‘normal’ accounting range. His experience includes over 18 years assisting businesses improve their financial performance, planning and strategic thinking.
His experience includes business appraisals, turnarounds, investigations and viability reviews and business recovery assignments such including regularly acting as liquidator and receiver, in which he leads the South Island practice. He has worked in Wellington, London and for the last 10 years has been based in Christchurch where he has developed a strong reputation within the business community. His industry experience includes hospitality, finance, manufacturing, transport, service, heavy equipment, property, rural and not for profit.
Malcolm also enjoys working with businesses owners and managers with a view to ensuring all solutions are canvassed. He also works with clients that wish to expand by natural growth or acquisition, or are looking to expand or divest some or parts of their businesses. He has been actively involved in assisting new businesses in their start up phase and looking for external funding - Malcolm also enjoys working with growing businesses and understands the stresses and strains businesses encounter.
