Business Facilitation and SMEs

Business Facilitation measures:

  • Simplifying the system of business licensing;
  • Reducing the timeframe for settling commercial disputes from 2 years to 7 months;
  • Reducing the registration time for a property to 15 days;
  • Reducing the number of permits relating to imports and exports to the essential minimum.

SMEs:

  • Set up a Manufacturing Adjustment and SME Development Fund with an initial contribution of
    Rs.500 m;
  • Set up a scheme with the participation of commercial banks to provide an SME with less than Rs.50 m turnover a loan with no more than 10% equity compared to at least 40% presently.
