Murray is a Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers Christchurch office, heading up Performance Improvement, Climate Change and Business Assurance for the South Island . He also practices in the general commercial advisory arena assisting a number of clients, predominately with business growth strategies, either organise or by acquisition. Often these engagements involve succession issues.

Murray has also spent a period of time as an investor having purchased, set-up and successfully exited businesses in the retail sector in New Zealand. Murray has worked in over seventeen countries during the past decade and prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers worked for both Mobil Corporation and within the Big Four both in New Zealand and internationally. His roles have predominantly had governance, risk management, internal audit or a transaction focus.
Murray has a particular interest in Energy and Infrastructure given his experience internationally.
Currently Murray assists at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology within the New Venture Planning Programme, sits on the Advisory Committee of the Business School and also provides honorary input on behalf of PricewaterhouseCoopers to the Antarctic Heritage Trust.
