Matthew is an Associate Director in the Christchurch office of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In addition to his ten years experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers in both New Zealand and Australia, Matthew has also worked in contractual roles for a number of large South Island based businesses.
As a member of the South Island Corporate Finance practice, Matthew has been involved in a wide range of merger and acquisition related matters, specialist financial modelling assignments, debt and equity financing assignments, business appraisals and insolvency assignments across a wide range of South Island based private and public entities.
A sample of some of Matthew’s recent engagements include:
- Sell side lead advisory for a leading developer and manufacturer of automotive equipment, a large New Zealand based design and marketing business, an internationally recognised specialised manufacturing company and a national importer and wholesaler.
- Strategic advisory and specialist financial modelling for a local district council in respect of a major infrastructure development and implementation, a large state owned enterprise and a nationwide accommodation provider.
- Financial due diligence for a global FMCG participant, an Australian based construction entity and an international software company.
- Specialist valuation advice for various participants in the manufacturing, retail, consumer and industrial products and transportation sectors.
Matthew is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and also assists Entré, the University of Canterbury Entrepreneurship Challenge and the Emergency Care Research Foundation.
