For the past five years, PricewaterhouseCoopers has held annual pre-budget forums in which it discusses various regulatory and fiscal issues impacting business with selected chief executives and other senior business executives drawn from many of the largest businesses operating in Uganda. The Pre-Budget Forum held on 8 February 2007 in Kampala had three themes:
- Reducing the costs of doing business;
- Widening the tax base; and
- Encouraging investment and savings
