We are delighted to represent the eleventh edition of Banana Skins Survey 2006 of the risks facing banks, conducted by Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation (CSFI) and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Banking Banana Skins 2006 has revealed yet another set of thought-provoking responses from a range of global financial institutions, regulators and observers. This year sees an increase in responses and global coverage, particularly from the emerging markets. Emerging markets also rose in profile in the survey, although more from the developed world's worries about economic stability than from concerns within the emerging markets themselves.
This year’s survey is based on a record 468 responses from 60 countries (22 responses from Russia). Among the respondents there were bankers — Chairmen of the Boards, CEOs, Presidents, etc. Also the representatives of the other sectors, regulating authority and analysts have taken part in this survey.
