This illustrative annual report includes the consolidated financial statements of the Proforma Insurance (UK) plc group of companies. It has been prepared to show the disclosures and format that might be expected for a UK composite insurance group that prepares its financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
This latest version is prepared as at 31 December 2007 and reflects the accounting requirements as at that date including the adoption of IFRS 7: Financial Instruments: disclosures.
This report can be used by preparers, reviewers and users of insurers' financial statements. It is worth noting that the suggested disclosure throughout is intended for guidance only and may not be applicable to all groups or to all companies.
