Brendan O'Connor is appointed as President of the Irish Council of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). Brendan has been deeply involved in promoting the work of the Institute over many years.
Speaking at the announcement, Brendan said:
"I am delighted to have been appointed to this important role. As President, I look forward to representing my professional body and continuing to promote and support best practice in all areas of company administration. In particular, we will endeavour to assist Company Secretaries with the challenges that lie ahead as a result of the introduction of the new Companies Act."
Brendan is a qualified Chartered Secretary and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He is a Manager in Ireland's leading Company Administration Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he is responsible for a substantial portfolio of clients (including large multi-nationals). Brendan also head's up PwC's Share and Option Scheme Administration Practice.
