The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants signs MOU with PricewaterhouseCoopers
PwC to identify Management Trainee positions for CIMA candidates


Mumbai, September 15, 2006: The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Mumbai. This partnership will help create value and provide measurable benefits for both parties. The MOU was signed between Kathy Grimshaw, Director, International Development, CIMA, UK and Roopen Roy -Managing Director, PwC.

The primary objective of this agreement is to develop a year-on-year programme to focus on identified activities and specific projects, based on mutual agreement and collaboration. These activities will encompass opportunities for candidates pursuing CIMA qualifications, presentation of seminars covering technical subjects and also seminars focusing on careers in consultancy, as well as identifying of other areas for co-operation between the two organisations. In addition, PwC’s newly inaugurated Global Training Centre facility in Kolkata will become an accredited in-company computer based assessment centre for the CIMA Certificate in Business Administration.

As a first initiative, PwC are offering Management Trainee positions to recent graduates who have also completed the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting. These positions are based in PwC operations across India and offer an opportunity for new professionals to launch a career in consultancy with PwC. In addition, PwC will make openings available to candidates already pursuing or completing the CIMA Professional Qualification.
