Ho Chi Minh City, 1 July 2008 – The 57th Annual MISS UNIVERSE Pageant will be held in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam this month culminating at the coronation ceremony on Sunday 13th July. PricewaterhouseCoopers Vietnam is proud to be the Official Accounting Firm Sponsor of the 2008 MISS UNIVERSEŽ Pageant. As part of the sponsorship agreement, the firm is contributing to the work of the organizing team via the short term secondment of two PricewaterhouseCoopers professionals.

Employees of PricewaterhouseCoopers Vietnam gain knowledge and experience via rigorous in-house and external training programs and via serving leading businesses and organizations operating in Vietnam in numerous industries and from many countries. As part of the sponsorship agreement, we received a number of tickets to the event itself. The leaders of the firm unanimously agreed to hold a raffle amongst all employees for these tickets. In June 2008, employees all around the world have contributed to the “Power of 10” initiative teaming up with the United Nation High Commission for Refugees to raise money to build schools, train teachers, and provide educational supplies for more than 20,000 refugee children in Eastern Chad. PricewaterhouseCoopers (Vietnam) is a regular sponsor of the Saigon Cylco challenge, an annual event supporting the Saigon Children's Charity.
