Evening April 2 to noon April 4
Activist shareholders have targeted major public companies to push strategic changes and, in some cases, win board seats. Surprised by shareholders' actions, directors at some of these companies have been unprepared to respond.
Directors' College 2008 provides a forum for you to join fellow board members at major public companies in discussions about how to deal with activist shareholders. At the forum, you will gain insight into how to address shareholder concerns proactively and explore ways to prepare and position a company successfully. You also will delve into the multiple dimensions of this issue, ranging from proxy access to shareholders' power in executive compensation decisions.
The program features 25 prominent directors and governance leaders in an exclusive and intimate setting for director-to-director interaction and discussion.
