Ellen Roche

Ellen Roche is Director and practice leader of the Executive Resourcing practice at PwC. A graduate in French and Economics from UCD, she holds an H.Dip in Education with distinction. Ellen is also certified in Training & Development from the Irish Institute for Training and Development, is an Associate Member of the Institute of Management Consultants of Ireland and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Ellen's experience contributes an extensive national and international network to the practice across the spectrum of public and private sector assignments, particularly in health, academia and related sectors. Her recruitment assignments in the last five years have been primarily at Chief Executive level and she has recruited at that level for a range of bodies in education, health and across a broad spectrum of public sector bodies.

Gerard McDonough

Gerard McDonough is a Director with the Executive Resourcing practice of at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He is a graduate of Business Studies from Dublin Business School and is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Management Consultants of Ireland.

Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers Gerard focused the earlier part of his career in Financial Services, working with Fund Management institutions in the UK and Ireland. He subsequently moved into recruitment with a publicly quoted firm, where he was responsible for establishing their financial recruitment function, and where he specialised in managing a wide range of senior level appointments.

As a member of the Executive Resourcing Team, Gerard's knowledge is centred primarily on Executive Search and Selection, delivering a hybrid of solutions to a diverse client base of national and international, public and private sector organisations. With PwC, he has spent the last seven and a half years assisting clients of the firm assignments across all management disciplines. His recent assignment portfolio includes numerous Director level appointments for Icon Clinical plc, UniPhar plc, Kingspan Group plc, Michael McNamara & Co, Organon BioScience, Moduslink, Musgrave Group, Michael McNamara & Co Construction, interim Health & Information Quality Authority, An Post, Electricity Supply Board and the Archdiocese of Dublin.

Adrienne Harten

Adrienne Harten

Adrienne Harten is a Manager with the Executive Resourcing practice at PwC. A graduate of the University of Limerick with a B.A. in European Studies and a M.A in International Studies. Adrienne also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Communications from University College Galway.

Having gained extensive experience working in both the public and private sectors as Manager of EU Programmes with the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland (CCI) and more recently as Manager of the Institute for International Integration Studies (IIIS) in Trinity College Dublin, Adrienne brings an understanding of the business issues across the public, private and voluntary sectors. During her career with CCI she managed a number of international trade promotion initiatives involving companies across a diverse range of Irish industry sectors and represented the chamber movement at a national and EU level. During 5 years with Trinity College Dublin, Adrienne gained an in-depth knowledge of the Irish University sector with particular emphasis on the administration and promotion of world class research.

Adrienne joined the Executive Resourcing Practice in December 2007 to contribute her skills and experience to assignments in both the public and private sectors.

Michelle O'Connor

Before commencing her career in recruitment services in the year 2000, Michelle worked in sports tourism and customer service in a sales environment. With a degree in Psychology, she decided to join a large, successful recruitment agency and over a seven year period Michelle worked as both the In-house Recruiter for the agency and in a client facing role as Project Manager for a large, American, multinational in the pharmaceutical industry.

Michelle joined the PwC Executive Resourcing practice in 2007 as a researcher adding her commitment to a team focused on high quality customer service while her research skills are deployed working across the team to add value to search assignments in the public, private, voluntary and community sectors. Newly appointed to Manager in 2008, her recent assignment portfolio includes numerous senior level appointments for Smyths Toys, Schenker, Mount Carmel Medical and the Religious Sisters of Charity.

Mark Carter

Mark Carter

Mark Carter is a Partner and co-ordinates our HR Services group in Ireland. He has many years experience in HR consulting, including reward, recruitment, international mobility management, employment taxation & strategy. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers Mark worked in the Public Sector.

Mark has managed a wide range of HR advisory projects for leading Irish and international organisations. He has also worked closely with Landwell Solicitors to provide an integrated HR employment law service to many of our clients.

Mark is a member of the Governance Committee of PwC’s European HR Services Leadership team. Previous external representation included Chambers of Commerce and board membership of bi-lateral international trade associations. His overseas experience was gained during an assignment with the PwC strategy group in New York. He is an Associate of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland, holds a Professional Diploma in Management, and is a Licentiate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Mark’s primary role in relation to Executive Resourcing services involves engagement reviews and liaison with selected clients providing a first class quality service delivery is maintained on our client engagements.
