Michael Gray Senior Strategist Supply Chain Evangelist Dell Inc. Round Rock, USA
Mike has been with Dell for over 14 years and is considered an expert on Dell’s unique approach to supply chain management. He has been a lead architect for many of the business processes that allow Dell to achieve its unprecedented levels of inventory while maintaining industry-leading customer service.
In his current role Mike has been meeting with customer executives and teaching them how Dell’s supply chain works in an effort to help them fundamentally change the way their companies approach this critical business process. Due to his extensive knowledge and passion about the virtues of a well-managed supply chain, he has earned the title “evangelist”. Before moving into this role, Mike served as Dell’s strategic commodity manager for processors and memory, production control manager, senior manager for regional procurement, and business lead for major IT implementations.
Mike spent the first 11 years of his career with IBM Corp. in a variety of functions including procurement, production control and master scheduling. In his final assignment, Mike served as the production control manager of IBM’s personal computer manufacturing facility in Boca Raton, Florida. He then spent two years with Square D Company at their electronics assembly plant in Clearwater, Florida, as a materials operations manager and plant manager prior to joining Dell.
Mike graduated Magna Cum Laude from New England College in New Hampshire with a BA in Accounting/Management. He is a lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) with the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and also is Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) from the American Production and Inventory Management Society.
Tyler Elm Senior Director, Corporate Strategy and Business Sustainability Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Bentonville, USA
Mr. Tyler Elm has global responsibility for deriving business value for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. by directing the development, implementation, and management of a competitive business strategy that derives economic benefits from improved environmental and social outcomes.
More than 15 years of experience and formal education in strategic business and environmental issues, including graduate degrees in business and environmental management, provides Mr. Elm with a robust perspective on the sustainable value creation.
Prior to his position with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Mr. Elm developed and implemented the global environmental strategy, policies and programs for Office Depot Inc. During his consulting career with IBM Business Consulting Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Mr. Elm advised government institutions, industrial products companies, and their customers on business sustainability.
A Registered Professional Biologist and member of the Applied College of Biology, Mr. Elm is also a specialist in the conservation of ecological values in production environments.
Sofie Beckman Forestry Coordinator IKEA Group Helsingborg, Sweden
Sofie Beckham joined IKEA in 2003 and currently holds the position of Forestry Co-ordinator for the IKEA Group, based in Helsingborg, Sweden. Her overall focus is ensuring that the wood used in IKEA merchandise is sourced from responsibly managed forests. In this role, she is responsible for communication of forest issues to IKEA stakeholders, forest project co-ordination with external partners and strategic guidance of IKEAs forestry work. Prior to joining IKEA, Mrs. Beckham worked as a forester in North America and Southeast Asia. Mrs. Beckham holds a B.A. in biology from Swarthmore College and a M.F. from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

Scott McLean has over 20 years of combined consulting and industry experience including
executive and / or management roles in operations, sales, marketing, supply chain and IT. Based in Vancouver, he is part of the PwC Global Forest & Paper Practice. He specializes in two areas: helping clients improve their performance and helping clients rapidly integrate and capture the expected value from mergers and acquisitions.
