Increased attention on accounting, disclosure and reporting

In light of the current spate of high profile corporate failures, the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) is looking closely at company disclosures and accounting.

Among the list of changes, increasingly SEC-registered and other companies must provide certification of the effectiveness of internal controls.

For Chief Financial Officers, the additional scrutiny and increased reporting requirements are adding complexity and additional responsibility to standard reporting of financial performance.

We provide SEC-registered and other mining companies with certification of the effectiveness of internal controls and can help companies make the necessary changes to respond to the increased reporting requirements.

Contact an industry professional in your area to discuss your unique business concerns related to SEC issues.
