Businesses are often faced with complex and challenging situations. Our Advisory practice includes Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Corporate Recovery, Insolvency & Forensics and Performance Improvement.

Join our Advisory practice, and you will have the opportunity to connect with the best in the industry, as you realise your full potential as a member of a dynamic global team.

Below you will find a brief overview of each of our Advisory areas:

Corporate Finance

Our Corporate Finance department is one of Ireland’s leading corporate finance houses. As corporate finance advisers, we work closely with our clients’ senior management and advise on acquisitions, disposals, MBO’s, finance raising, valuations, IPO advice, Public Private Partnerships, project finance and a variety of strategic issues.

Our Corporate Finance team comprises 16 people who work together in small partner / director led teams which come together for individual client assignments.  A typical transaction team will comprise a partner, director and one or two other staff members working together to provide value-enhancing solutions to clients.

Working as part of a transaction team, you will at any given time typically be working on a small number of assignments which, depending on their complexity, can last for anything up to 12 months. Given the variety of the work that we do, it is difficult to be prescriptive about those aspects of an assignment on which you might work. Typically, as a new recruit you would be responsible for:

  • Execution and completion of assignments;
  • Project management, financial analysis, financial modelling and research; and
  • Identifying business development opportunities in targeted industry sectors.

Transaction Services

Our Transactions Services team help companies make acquisitions, divestures and strategic alliances, and to access the global capital markets. In each case we have the same overriding objective: to help clients maximise the return on their deal.

We act as deal managers helping clients get deals done faster, with less disruption and at a more attractive price. Service offerings in this area include financial, sell-side and market due diligence, bid support and defence, corporate structuring, and post-deal services. Using cross-functional teams, we bring together all the relevant experience from across the firm, including tapping into the firm’s vast industry sector knowledge.

Corporate Recovery, Insolvency & Forensics

From small family firms to major multinationals, this team works with underperforming businesses to help them address their problems and establish the way forward. Sometimes that means developing a strategy to turn the company around. Other times it’s simply a case of guiding them through the liquidation process.

As Corporate Recovery & Insolvency advisers our services in this area include corporate reorganisation, downsizing and examination services, creditor and lender services, insolvent company liquidation and shareholder services. We provide advisory and insolvency services to lenders, creditors, companies and individuals in troubled financial situations.

Our Forensic specialists help clients to get to the bottom of particularly complex business issues, working with them to investigate, analyse and resolve their specific issues, providing specialised advice on how to move forward. Work in this area involves analysing data, drafting reports, document management, investigating complex business issues or assisting in the collation of evidence for specialised witness work.

Performance Improvement

We help organisations of all shapes and sizes, to continuously evolve and adapt in the face of a constantly changing and increasingly complex environment. We help our clients react with agility to opportunities and threats by delivering ongoing performance improvements to allow them to gain and protect competitive advantage. We offer advice and support around key client issues, using technology, data services and change and programme effectiveness skills to provide clients with the best solution.

Our clients demand real, quantifiable benefits, based on a full understanding of the wider business and commercial implications of their choices. We pride ourselves on our ability to connect an in-depth understanding of the economic environment, industry knowledge and business drivers with our technical specialists to create the right outputs to our clients.
