Save the Children
Village of Naherengue in Mozambique - working with the local community to build 3 classrooms, drill a well for clean water, construct latrines for the students and provide training and teaching aids for the teachers. Currently there are few classrooms at the school, which are of poor quality and there is no furniture or teaching materials for the students. Of the children attending school in Naherengue, only 40% of them are girls and the number decreases dramatically as their age increases. Therefore, one of our aims is to also provide improved access to education for the young girls of the village. |
