Professional Development

Continuing Education
As a qualified professional accountant, you are required by your registered institute to obtain a specific number of continuing education/professional development hours each year. While it is your responsibility to ensure that the requirements of your particular institute are met, we provide a range of CE programs that are designed to fulfill these requirements. These include methodology training, accounting standard updates, industry specific courses, industry and regulatory briefings and self-study computer based training.

Performance evaluation
Engagement or project specific performance evaluations are prepared using the PricewaterhouseCoopers performance appraisal and development methodology. An annual performance review forms the backbone of our performance evaluation and bonus scheme.

Professional organisations
A number of professional organisations hold conferences, luncheons, seminars and social events. Your involvement with professional organisations will likely be focused on activities organised by the Cayman Islands Society of Public Accountants (CISPA).
