The PwC People Giving initiative facilitates payroll deductions for our people so that they can support and donate to our 21 selected charities. The results are then literally doubled, as the firm matches these contributions on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
The PwC Foundation is proud to be one of the first employer organisations to participate in The Australian Charities Fund (ACF) workplace giving program. We are delighted to have played a key role in supporting the establishment of ACF, assisting with developing the technical and administrative structure of the Workplace Giving concept. We have selected charities that are aligned with the causes our people want to support. For each charity, we have identified specific programs to which these contributions will be directed. We have followed their progress throughout the year and are delighted to report on the positive outcomes achieved in our annual report.
Charities will be reviewed annually based on the support of our people and the impact our donations are making.
In addition, we have committed our support to leading edge research into health issues important to our people through the Heart Foundation, National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Leukaemia Foundation.
This initiative helps us deliver on our mission to make a significant impact in those areas or organisations that our people wish to financially support.
