8. October 2009 - Petr Zmátlík has been appointed as a Director in the Assurance and advisory department and Jan Dvořák as a Director in Advisory department of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Petr focuses on services for both local and international companies particularly in the telecommunications and energy sectors. Jan focuses mainly on the development of transaction services for strategic and financial investors. He intends to further develop a leading PwC position in transaction advisory on the Czech market.
Petr Zmátlík (35) is responsible for providing audit and assurance services for international and local companies. He specialises in the telecommunications and energy sectors. He has built up a great deal of experience in these fields not only for the clients in the Czech Republic but also during his two year secondment at PwC UK in London. While there, he gained experience with a broad range of services such as organising comprehensive consolidation, assisting with a new reporting system, consolidating mechanism implementation, and appraising the quality of internal control environments. Petr, states:
“Our value-added is in connection of understanding of the Czech market and our know-how about large multinational companies. Knowledge of various market environments combined with understanding the range of companies from small family businesses to international concerns gives us a great opportunity to identify the best practices for our clients.”
Petr has been with PwC since 1997. He joined the company after his graduation from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Great Britain (ACCA). He is married and has a three-month-old son.
Jan Dvořák (39) is responsible for transaction advisory. He will focus mainly on the development of transaction services for strategic and financial investors. He hopes to further develop a leading PwC position in transaction advisory on the Czech market. Jan states:
“Our acquisitioning clients not only expect partial advice from an advisor but also an understanding of the whole acquisition process together with the correct time identification of all possible risks and difficulties of the transaction process. We are quickly able to find our bearings in the selling process and capitalise on our knowledge of the industry in order to assure an optimal position for our client and maximise their benefits resulting from the transaction.“
Jan has more than ten years of advisory experience. He has been active in acquisition advisory since 1997. From 2003 to 2007, he worked in an automotive company. Jan graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Great Britain (ACCA). He is married and has two children.
