Tax Memo: Application of Ontario's Single Sales Tax to New Homes

On June 18, 2009, the Ontario government released a bulletin updating the province's 2009 budget announcement concerning a single sales tax launch on July 1, 2010. Named Helping Homebuyers and the Housing Industry with an Enhanced New Housing Rebate, the new rental housing rebate and transitional rules bulletin outlines new information on additional rebates, transitional rules and disclosure requirements for builders.
